For over 70 years Diplomat A/S has been manufacturing and supplying mechanical batch weighers to a worldwide network of dealers including some of the worlds leading companies in poultry production. More than 120.000 weighers are installed and operating all around the world and most of them are in use 24/7 - even after +40 years of daily usage!As a co-owner of a +70 year old 3rd generation company it "runs in your blood".My grandfathers invention and my fathers global expansion humbly passed down to my brother and I. After 16 years of literally having my hands and feet in every single bucket there is to running your own business, there are simply too many tasks to mention. However my main responsibilities have been the following:Sales: - Incorporating new business/sales strategies- Lots of traveling! (exhibiting locally and globally, visiting both customers and suppliers worldwide) - Quotations & contracts - Daily close contact with both new and existing customersProduction: - Production planning, prioritizing and maintaining the daily production flow and stock management- Incorporating LEAN and outsourcing wherever possible - Hands-on, welding, etc. always helping out our production team whenever being short on handsManagement: - Budgetting- Hiring/firing, conflict management- Board member
