As an HR-manager I gave performance appraisals and functioned as the link between the board and the employees, giving follow-ups and feedback. In addition the position included arranging an annual alumni event with current and previous employees, with the intention of sharing knowledge and experiences. Throughout the year I also arranged a number of social events and trips in order to establish and maintain a good relationships between the employees and create a motivational work environment.

I mainly wrote a research paper on the prospects of implementing apprentice programs within different occupations at some of Statoil's international operations, but also participated in meetings and other regular activities at the office.

The Social Scientists' Work Life Committee (or in Norwegian Samfunnsviternes Arbeidslivsutvalg) is an organization at the Social Science faculty at the University of Bergen. It is run by students at the faculty and arrange seminars, meetings and events aimed at connecting students at the faculty with organizations, companies and prospective employers. International Day was an event which aimed to create awareness among the students of the different possibilities they had abroad. This included possibilities within organizations, exchange programs, employers and more. The day included seminars, company presentations and speeches given by previous students and other inspirational people with an international experience. My role was to coordinate a team of 8 students in arranging the day, and included booking speakers, contacting companies and organizations, market the event among students, coordinating the different events on the day itself, reporting to the board and more.
