Having enjoyed 12 wonderful years in the Leisure and Recreation Industry, managing and directing a staff team in excess of 250 people, in related business aspects, I accepted position as Marketing Director, developing both indoor and outdoor leisure for the Cheltenham Recreation Division. During pregnancy and early motherhood, I created and developed the magazine "Leading Ladies" with a focus on topical issues relative to business and ladies "juggling" work and family lifestyle. On a self employed basis this role covered marketing strategies, interviews, editorial, and sales and advertising on a monthly production.From being a first time parent and inspired by the sheer joy gained from my beautiful daughter, I became Founder and Managing Director of Circus Day Nursery Ltd 1997, a large childcare provision providing quality care in Gloucestershire, which went on to win a prestigious National award for Nursery Team of the Year, along with a local Business of the Year Award and voted in the Top Ten Nursery Awards for the South West of England, 2019, 2020, 2021 and hopefully 2022! Studying a further degree in psychology with a focus on child development, I continued an intensive study period of Effective Early Learning and associated learning strategies. Coupled with overseeing a busy day care, led into the role of Early Years Consultant for a National Quality Assurance Scheme, aimed to improve standards in the UK childcare industry.Somewhere in the mix, I completed an Early Years Professional Status and became a Life Coach. From late 2008, I was accepted at Penn State University, USA, studying in the Human Development and Family Studies Department. Having met some remarkable and inspiring people, it expanded and shared knowledge gained from “the best of both worlds”. I continue to travel between the two continents accumulating what knowledge I can. Motivated and passionate in helping others, I'm currently expanding my studies under the RMT Foundation, focusing on strategic Intervention coaching to positively help and support others through individual private clients/groups and have completed further professional training (with distinction) in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprogramming).On a personal level I enjoy playing team tennis, skiing, reading, walking my dogs, nature and in a previous life, flying a P38 Tomahawk....
