Technical Authority for Tait Americas Region. Responsible for reviewing engineering system designs and deliverables. Lead process development and documentation efforts for consistency across America's group and global teams. Review engineers' system designs in relation to project scope. Work with project management teams to ensure project scope, schedule, and budget are in line with business and customer needs.

Provide technical engineering services to telecommunications' manufacturers as staff augmentation. Lead business development efforts, provide design quotations, and respond to request for proposals. Interface with customer stakeholders, technicians, and end users for requirements gathering, system design, requirements validation, and test verification efforts. Consult to private equity firms and law firms on wireless communications market space; provide expert witness services.

Act as a dedicated technical interface between the customer and the Tait organization.Responsible for identifying customer requirements. Develop budgetary and preliminary system designs within scope, schedule, and budget necessary to meet customer needs. Ensure customers understand system capabilities and limitations and identify any necessary alternatives. Provide continued customer support throughout all phases of interaction from project inception to contract acceptance and following project closure.Responsible for technical design, integration, and test. Ensure system designs meet customer requirements and are thoroughly checked for feasibility and suitability. Respond to customer inquiries; ensure customers understand system solution capabilities and limitations. Ensure customer satisfaction in anticipation of and following contract approval and system acceptance. Verify system build and test documentation enable project implementation with few or no revisions and system designs are achievable from both timing and cost perspectives.

Consult to critical infrastructure entities for wireless voice and data communications systems. Review existing communications network design and operational use; provide recommendations for improvement; work closely with client technologists and operational managers to develop system requirements; write detailed specifications for bid proposals. Interview various agencies and vendors to provide current updated system and technology information. Provide technical support during during client procurement and assist in negotiations. Develop and respond to RFP documents. Provide continued research in current technologies and associated equipment for client review.

Consult to state and local governments, homeland security districts regarding wireless and wireline communications technology and interoperability within, among, and between agencies. Technical review and assessment of existing and future radio communications systems; review interoperability and network connectivity among technology systems; technical project management of both small and large public safety radio/wireless voice and mobile data communications systems as well as microwave and other transport infrastructures, CAD automation and 9-1-1 telephony integration; write assessments, recommendations, specifications, bid proposals, respond to bid proposals, technical grant writing; contracts and specifications review; create and present technical and non-technical presentations.

Plan, supervise, and coordinate repair and maintenance activities in the Wireless Communications department under Information Technology for two way radio systems, fire house alerting systems, conference room audio networks, and fire and police vehicle data and siren systems, along with various other tasks. Review and evaluate full-time and additional part-time employees’ job performance and develop recommendations. Assist in hiring, training, disciplinary actions of subordinates. Led engineering design and partner agency coordination for initial build out of ICIS regional radio system.

Responsible for technical design and implementation of entire two-way radio system and all sub-systems including dispatch console infrastructure, remote alarm and control monitoring, microwave infrastructure links, and network management system. Work directly with customers, sales, and project management teams to ensure the design of the communications system meets or exceeds all local government and public safety requirements and possible future upgrades. Responsible for all pre- and post-sale activities including, but not limited to: reviewing requests for proposals (RFPs), developing proposal documents to include multiple designs for customer review, educating the customer on design pros and cons to ensure correct and informative needs assessment, running coverage analysis of sites/systems, assisting with FCC license coordination, creating high level system block diagrams as well as detailed interconnect diagrams, specifying system audio and data routing plan.

Maintain, test, troubleshoot, and repair all electronics systems aboard F/A-18 aircraft, including but not limited to weapons, radar, communication, navigation, and in-flight recording systems. Held rank of E-4 at time of Honorable Discharge.
