Since 1997, Susan’s practice has focused almost exclusively on family law with a substantial focus on matters involving small businesses. Susan received her law degree from the University of Maine School of Law in 1989. She is admitted to practice in Maine, Massachusetts, and the U.S. District Court, District of Maine. During and after law school, Susan worked for several years for KPMG Peat Marwick as a tax specialist and certified public accountant. In late 1993, she abandoned accounting and began a solo-practice as a criminal and family lawyer. In 1997, Susan joined MittelAsen, LLC as a partner. From January, 2006 until February, 2012, Susan was a partner at Givertz, Scheffee and Lavoie, PA. She is a member of the Cumberland and Maine State bar associations.
