Susan is a neurotherapist, brain health consultant and speaker on topics at the intersection of mental health, neuroscience, trauma and human development. In her private practice, she utilizes several modalities shown in research and practice to help clients become improved versions of themselves. This includes cutting-edge technologies, integrative modalities and personalized coaching. She offers QEEG brain mapping and 2 different types of neurofeedback. Since 2015 she's worked with hundreds of clients, aged 5 - 82, facilitating hundreds of successful outcomes, many being transformative and even miraculous. Neuroplasticity may in fact be the holy grail of the nervous system as the brain has a profound capacity to adapt and heal throughout our entire lives.Susan's own childhood adversity, raised by a single mother who suffered from schizophrenia, is touched upon in the acclaimed documentary, Out of the Shadow (2006). Seeking more knowledge about impacts of complex trauma led her to graduate studies at Harvard where she delved into the research on the profound effects of traumatic stress, resulting in PTSD. She has a keen understanding of the impacts of complex trauma on the brain and nervous system and how it can affect a person throughout the lifespan. Her personal and professional experience dovetail to bring insight through lived experience to a wide variety of audiences including clinicians, educators, parents, mental health professionals and policymakers.
