Susan is a neurotherapist, brain health consultant and speaker on topics at the intersection of mental health, neuroscience, trauma and human development. Seeking more knowledge about impacts of complex trauma led her to graduate studies at Harvard where she delved into the research on the profound effects of traumatic stress, resulting in PTSD. She has a keen understanding of the impacts of complex trauma on the brain and nervous system and how it can affect a person throughout the lifespan. Her personal and professional experience dovetail to bring insight through lived experience to a wide variety of audiences including clinicians, educators, parents, mental health professionals and policymakers.
