Mobilizing the market toward energy efficiency is the most cost-effective way to meet our future energy needs. The Northwest Energy Efficiency Alliance (NEEA) is an alliance of more than 140 Northwest utilities and energy efficiency organizations working on behalf of more than 13 million energy consumers. NEEA leverages its strong regional partnerships to effect market transformation by accelerating the adoption of energy-efficient products, services and practices. Since 1997, NEEA and its partners – including Avista Utilities, Bonneville Power Administration, Chelan County PUD, Clark Public Utilities, Cowlitz PUD, Eugene Water & Electric Board, Energy Trust of Oregon, Idaho Power, NorthWestern Energy, Pacific Power, Puget Sound Energy, Seattle City Light, Snohomish County Public Utilities, and Tacoma Power –have saved enough energy to power more than 700,000 homes each year.

The Midwest Energy Efficiency Alliance (MEEA), is a membership organization of state and local governments, energy utilities, research institutes, manufacturers, energy service providers, and advocacy organizations working to advance energy efficiency in the 13-Midwestern states. Founded in 2000, the nonprofit organization has worked collaboratively with all stakeholders to support programs, policies, education and training initiatives, and emerging technologies that have produced significant energy efficiency investment, energy and cost savings, economic growth, and enhanced environmental preservation across the region.

Founded in 1982, the Wisconsin Public Utility Institute’s mission is to advance understanding of public policy issues in the electricity and gas industries. It provides information and education programs in addition to other services that aid in the examination and development of appropriate public policies for those industries. The Institute achieves its mission through the exchange, creation, integration, transfer and application of knowledge. It provides forums for discussion, dialog, and debate on public policy issues at the request of its members.

Served as appointed Administrator for both Telecommunications and Electricity Divisions, responsible for all facets of regulatory analysis including rate cases, environmental issues, construction and policy. Also served as Chief Economist covering electric, natural gas, water, and telecommunications utilities.

Worked on energy and telecommunications policy issues, including implementation of PURPA, integrated resource planning for electric utilities, and Breakup of AT&T monopoly.

Worked on DOE grant to evaluate renewable and energy efficiency resources for homes in the city of Philadelphia.
