Strong experience in Cell Biology/Immuno Oncology research and development. Assay development and troubleshooting with ELISA, western blot, flow cytometry, cell viability/proliferation, tissue sectioning and staining, qPCR, cell sorting and a variety of cell based/protein based assays. Have also been promoted to laboratory manager for the last 2 years.Several years experience with In vivo work including xenograft models with various therapeutics (antibodies, small molecules) with subcutaneous tumor engraftment as well as intravenous tumor generation. Highly experienced with isoflurane anesthesia, necropsy, bone marrow isolation, and multiple modes of injection (subcutaneous, intra-muscular, intravenous tail, retro orbital, intra-dermal). Experienced with quality control procedures and SOP writing. GMP trained and helped open our Quality Control lab. Equipment purchasing, IQ/OQ scheduling, preventative maintenance and calibration scheduling.

Tocagen is focused on gene therapy. In this position, I have been very involved in molecular biology and virology. I have been performing transductions, real time PCR and qPCR, Western Blots (protein and viral particles), ELISA and lots and lots of tissue culture.

In vivo models, development and executing inoculations and treatments; Cell based in vitro assays, such as proliferation, FACS, Immunofluorescence. Also proficient with sectioning frozen tissue samples with a Cryostat and performing Immunohistochemistry.
