Benefits—Administer employee benefits program including self-funded health plans, employee, dependent and accidental life insurances, LTD, STD, FSA, and supplemental benefit plans. Enroll and terminate coverage in company and carriers’ system, resolve eligibility issues, and system interfacing with carriers. Process Family Status Changes. Administer LOAs. Mail COBRA notifications. Receive and process Domestic Partner premiums. Process the monthly billing, prepare journal entries and perform regular audits.Administer 401(k) plan. Reconcile bi-weekly payroll contributions. Input 401(k) Loans and payments. Monitor annual contribution and catch-up contribution limits. Perform regular audits of Plan Administrator’s data vs. company data. Upload and downloads of system files and other related duties. Process QDROs and other related duties. Submit journal entry requests and funds transfers.Payroll—Process bi-weekly multi-state payroll for nearly 3,000 hourly, non-exempt and exempt employees. Process off-cycle checks as needed; process ACH transmittals; pay payroll taxes; file quarterly and annual payroll tax returns; process W-4 and ESPP forms and garnishments; verify leave accruals after each payroll cycle.Records—Maintain Employee Records, Benefits, and Payroll files.Staffing—Present New Hire Orientation on a weekly basis in person or via the telephone for out of state employees. Instruct new employees on filing out paperwork. Assist Staffing Department with entering requisitions and application data; upload resumes; gather I-9 documentation.Communication—Present at weekly New Hire Orientation and annual Open Enrollment meetings; assist in drafting and editing manuals, flyers, and other correspondences; communicate to employees plans, policies and procedures; Train and supervise temporary employees and HR assistants as required. Create instruction manuals.Reporting—Create and run queries and reports as needed.
