Monitored the marketplace to identify trends, the benefits and risks for consumers of fintech products and services, including mobile payments and marketplace lending. Coordinated consumer policy development with key internal Treasury Department staff and external stakeholders including other federal agencies, Congressional staff, industry representatives, and advocacy organizations. Researched and drafted memoranda and strategic plans for senior staff on consumer financial protection issues and financial inclusion. Developed, managed, and implemented strategy to promote enactment of consumer protections for financial products and services. Developed and oversaw conference examining the feasibility of offering financial services at U.S. post offices to help the underserved. Served as consumer representative on the Federal Reserve Board’s Faster Payments Task Force.

Director of Campaign to enact the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. Develop and implement strategy and tactics for campaign, including direct lobbying, grassroots, media, social networking, and coalition participation. Develop and implement media plan for campaign. Co-lead coalition of consumer and military groups in promoting greater consumer financial protections for Service members and their families. Serve as spokesperson on financial regulatory reform. Wrote op-eds published in The Washington Post Capital Business, Roll Call, and the PBS "NewsHour" website. Draft press releases, fact sheets, alerts, and question and answer sheets for distribution to policymakers and for the website.

Develop and deploy communications programs across AARP's Integrated Communications Department by making use of the web, broadcast, media relations, messaging, content, publications and public outreach.
