Since its inception in 2000, Susan has helped to shape the strategic and operational side of the business as well as the market and communications presence for the firm. In addition she has helped to drive the corporate philanthropy service area and support key client planning. Prior to devoting full time to Strategic Philanthropy, Ltd., Susan was President of Stratenomics, Inc. which she founded in 1985 to help closely held and family owned businesses find solutions to market and operating challenges.Susan was also a founding shareholder in TransLumen Technologies, LLC, an innovative visualization technology software company, and helped shape its market presence. She is also a principal in Smash Media, Inc., a Los Angeles based film production company.Susan has a B.A. from Wayne State University, attended graduate school at the University of Michigan and successfully completed the mediation program at the Center for Mediation Law in California. Earlier in her career she was Vice President of the Chicago Board of Trade and before that, Assistant Bureau Chief of the Midwest Bureau of McGraw-Hill Publications where she oversaw 44 magazines. She is a prolific writer and has authored numerous articles for publications about philanthropy for the legal and financial communities. Among the publications for which she has written articles are: "Family Office Review", "Family Business", "Private Wealth", "Alliance", PAM magazine and has co-authored articles with Betsy Brill for STEP Journal. -
