In this role, I serve as the Deputy Director of Public Affairs. In the absence of the Director, I oversee the public affairs program for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Pacific Ocean Division, which is headquartered at Fort Shafter, Hawaii. POD is comprised of four districts located in Alaska, Hawaii, Japan, and Korea. In addition to supporting major media/community/stakeholder engagements for districts within USACE’s geographically largest and most diverse division, I serve on the POD Commanding General’s special staff; I advised and provide counsel, and am responsible for staffing the CG with regard to engagements, issues affecting the mission and those of our subordinate districts, public perception, transparency, risk and crisis communications, messaging, speeches, talking points, etc., as needed.

Chief of Public Affairs at U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Far East District.Headquartered at USAG Humphreys, responsible for directing PA programs for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Far East District and its 5 resident offices within the peninsula. Manage a team of public affairs professionals. Among responsibilities, advise the District Commander, Deputy Commander, and senior staff on talking points, media relations, and communications strategy.

As Program Manager, assisted the Federal team Vice President manage federal programs and contracts within Boone Group Federal Team portfolio. Responsible for management and successful delivery of Air Force's recruitment platform prototype build and contract.

Strategized digital communication efforts (various announcements, news, products, etc) for the enterprise U.S. Air Force social media platforms. Optimized and increased digital engagement for the enterprise U.S. Air Force social media accounts; increased Facebook engagement by 87%, Twitter 51%, and Instagram 26% in four months. Conducted strategic communications and social media training for 6 personnel. Assisted with launching the U.S. Space Force social media campaigns.

Managed 4 platforms for two four-star commands: United States Forces Korea (USFK) and United Nations Command (UNC); drove the growth of both command’s digital presences through modification of digital strategy and conducting social media training for account managers.

Hosted a daily flagship radio program; delivered entertainment and Command Information (CI) to more than 3.4K joint military members and local community. Pioneered first-of-its-kind video series: Korean Word of Week, a web video series that taught Korean in an approachable and fun manner. Series went viral and was adopted by all 5 installations on the Korean peninsula. Lauded by the Republic of Korea (ROK), ROK military, and Gunsan City Mayor; popularity of series among locals brought Korean Defense Media Activity (KDMA), a Korean govt agency, to Kunsan to produce a feature video and multiple articles highlighting it and its creator for strengthening the US-ROK Alliance. Spearheaded opportunities to work cross-functionally with Leadership, units, and agencies as a reliable resource to disseminate information.

Recognized by USAF ROTC/Commander for excellent recruitment products—revamped social media campaign for AF ROTC. Worked directly with Air University (AU) Commander; produced 12+ historically-themed Command Information videos for AU and AU historian. Produced myriad of videos for AU, Air Education and Training Command, Squadron Officer School leaders, agencies with video, broadcasting, and editing requests.

Entered U.S. Air Force. Trained to become technically skilled professional in public affairs, video, editing, broadcasting, speaking, writing, and radio.

Renegotiated contracts with existing vendors, re-priced products, modernized database and inventory, and spearheaded the development, design, and production of the CALA hairbrush line. Saved the company $114K+ in baseline production costs for 32 items. Managed a 5-person section with two personnel and filled-in for Vice President during leave; cut checks, received and reported updates from international branches, and organized and conducted employee timecard checks for payroll.
