Sushmeetha Bubna, is the founder & CEO, Voice Vision & FAIYDA. She was diagnosed with progressive conditions that led to vision loss in one eye by the age of 10 and complete blindness by 24. These setbacks, however, did not dim her indomitable spirit and ambitions.Sushmeetha powered on to complete her graduation in commerce, followed by Diploma in Administrative Management. She then joined her family business – a technology-driven company in 1996. Post losing her eyesight in 1997, It was her drive to learn computers and the lack of institutes for people like her, that inspired her to help others with disabilities.In 2000, Sushmeetha founded a non-profit called Voice Vision focusing on empowering persons with visual impairment. Over the years, she has trained hundreds of students in computers, soft skills, and other corporate proficiencies, helping them create employment opportunities, financial independence, and a life with dignity and inclusion.FAIYDA is her latest brainchild, a non-profit online marketplace where varied artists with disabilities can sell their hand-made creations – from edibles and costume jewelry to bespoke Kashmiri embroidery – directly to discerning customers and gain financial freedom. FAIYDA stands for Financial Ability for I, You and All.
