Sushmita Shrestha is a dedicated Research Monitor at the Oxford University Clinical Research Unit (OUCRU)–Nepal, with over two years of hands-on experience in clinical research and data management. A registered nurse with the Nepal Nursing Council, she holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Tribhuvan University. Since joining OUCRU in 2022 as a Research Nurse, she has progressed to Data Assistant and now serves as a Research Monitor. Sushmita has played key roles in significant projects, including the ACT-SA clinical trial, ACORN surveillance,dengue study, pneumonia in Nepal(WHO funded) and the AMS Program in Asia, where she managed data accuracy, ensured protocol compliance, and coordinated research activities. Her areas of interest include infectious diseases, antimicrobial resistance, and clinical trials. Passionate about advancing healthcare research, she is committed to improving patient outcomes through evidence-based practices.
