Supported all external and internal communications strategies, products and publications for the USAID supported REACH - Accountability Leadership by Local Communities for Inclusive, Enabling Services (ALLIES) Project with programmatic responsibility for the State of Chhattisgarh. Supported IEC materials and a variety of communications materials relevant to the TB Programme in India - such as, social media collaterals, flipbook on ‘TB and COVID-19’ short videos and a ‘Art again stigma’ compendium. I have also anchored a communication skilling training for TB Champions with successful and measurable outcomes.

Led media relations work. Served on India Program’s Leadership Management Team.Served on the India Sanitation Coalition Advocacy, Branding and Communication Subgroup.

Developed and maintained high-quality communication material for two phase 3 vaccine efficacy trials in India. Coordinated Defeat Diarrheal Disease efforts in India. Prepared spokespersons for media engagement, and managed placement of key opinion leader voices in the mainstream media.Managed media for large study result dissemination and public health meetings such as the Indian Public Health Association and the World Congress for Public Health.

Was the media consultant in the Strategic Communication and Advocacy Team, Polio Unit, UNICEF ICO, New Delhi via an IMaCS contract. Monitored media coverage, organized workshops/media briefings, and facilitated journalists’ visits to polio high-risk areas to encourage objective and scientific reportage on polio eradication. Generated regular high-quality media content on polio, both on mainstream and web-based media communications.Regularly audited the media and generated evidence that helped move the needle on negative polio reportage in Uttar Pradesh. Served as the media focal point and facilitated field visits of senior journalists.

Analyzed newspaper reports on polio from Western Uttar Pradesh districts and Lucknow, and organized interactions/orientation workshop for journalists. Covered the Polio Eradication Programme in Uttar Pradesh for the UNICEF website.
