As a management member of the Asset Liability Committee (ALCO), I have identified and quantified the sources of interest rate risk to senior management and recommended balance sheet strategies to mitigate risk and enhance income by utilizing the PlanSmith model.Budget Preparation – Responsible for working with each Bank’s CFO in preparing the Bank’s financial forecast in conjunction with Asset Liability strategies. Assist in the Holding Company financial forecasts.Liquidity Management – Responsible for the implementation and strategy of the Contingency Funding Plan at each Bank. Report the results of the stress testing and actions plans quarterly to the CFO’s. Reengineering of the liquidity plan resulted in no recommended follow-up from the FDIC.Expense Management – Responsible for the management process of all Shared Services employees cost structure.Staff Management – Responsible for the oversight of the Accounting/Accounts payable department.

Managed two employees and administered accounting department operations to include regulatory reporting, accounts payable, daily general ledger balancing, and fixed asset accounting.Liquidity Management – Managed daily cash position and liquidity projections by utilization of diverse funding options including Wholesale Funding, PMA, Qwickrate, and CDARS. Managed brokered deposit portfolio of $165 million. As a result of managing the multiple funding options available, net interest margin increased from 2.05% to 2.58%, and the cost of deposits decreased from 4.27% to 2.42% over a twelve month period.Asset Liability Management – Prepared and managed Interest Rate Sensitivity Analysis to ensure the Bank was within policy limits as a result of interest rate shocks. Led the initiative to convert from utilizing an outsourced consulting firm to oversee interest rate risk analysis to developing an in-house ProfitStar system. Directed the development and implementation of the program, which included creating procedures, projections, and program assumptions.Budget Preparation – Coordinated and prepared annual Bank budget and communicated with senior management. Established Cost Center Reporting System to assist senior management in tracking departmental income and expenses. As a result, expenses were under budget by 17%. Tracked and monitored budget variances on a monthly basis.Financial Reporting – Prepared financial reports for management and Board of Directors. Served as a liaison between external auditors and senior management to assist in preparation of year end audits.
