Upon graduating from business school in the early 1980's, I worked in commercial real estate investment banking for nearly a decade. In 1990, I retired from investment banking to begin my second career---raising my family! Music has always been a passion of mine! In 2007, I returned to school to study the Business of Music at Berklee College of Music. In 2008, I was honored to be awarded the "Herbie Hancock Celebrity Scholarship" for Outstanding Academic Performance from Berklee College. After studying 9-consecutive quarters, I finally graduated from Berklee with my Masters in Music Business in December 2009.Artist Management:During my studies at Berklee, I began managing my teenage son's jazz band trio for a Berklee course project. The boys performed free shows at Senior Living Centers to earn community service hours required to graduate from high school. The guys eventually graduated and moved on to college. However, in 2010, we began working with another student jazz band through the Athenian High School called "Groove Management" and now work with this group to provide free shows for community service. In 2008, I began managing my first professional project---Jazz/R&B/Soul recording artist, Nicolas Bearde. More recently, our management roster included the addition of Bay Area classic rock act "PUSH" whose frontman is ABC7 News Anchor Dan Ashley. Music Publishing/Licensing:In 2009, I launched the music publishing division of FLMG and entered into a Sub-Publishing Agreement with a foreign record label based in Lima, Peru. In 2010, we added Swedish singer/songwriter Marie Glad to our catalog and in 2011, we signed Acoustic/Rock Quartet sensation ALMA DESNUDA.
