Responsible for the Cyber Security policy development and revision cycle. Work involves creating policies, procedures, agreements, contracts, continuity plans, and recommending revisions or changes in format, content, concept, and scope. Review statutory requirements and recommend possible DPS application and alignment, review business operations for efficiency and improvement.

Responsible for the administration of all operational aspects of the Change Management processes across DPS IT and Cyber Security, executing based on Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) methodology, and ensuring adherence to the established policy, procedures, and processes. Develop strategic plans for additional staff resources required to meet business needs for APS, CPS, CCL, and SWI programs. Manage design teams and develop and document system requirements for design documents. Participate in multi-agency workgroups to research changes in the CPS (Child Protective Services), CCL (Child Care Licensing) and APS (Adult Protective Services) delivery systems and develop recommendations. Responsibilities include researching other states service delivery systems, analyzing data, coordinating workgroups and materials for audiences, internal and external to the agency. Facilitate problem resolution and support for system enhancements as a result of 79th, 80th, 81st and 82nd legislative sessions. Over 20 years experience with DFPS IT and IT training.

Designed, developed and delivered curricula for training of Automated Systems for both Commercial Software and systems developed specifically for Agency use. As DFPS liaison and Project Team Lead, Child and Adult Protective System project, participated in the design, development and implementation of the Child and Adult Protective System (CAPS) in partnership with Accenture. I designed, coded, developed and implemented computer based training (CBT) for effective cost efficient training of 6400 Agency employees on CAPS. In this position I served as the technical lead/developer for the Accenture/TDPRS training team. I modified the code of CAPS CBT windows screens to ensure that they reflected the current CAPS Application. I coordinated with agency staff and senior administrators to incorporate policy changes. I developed /modified CBT models to include system variables for quicker more efficient development by the CBT team there by cutting development time in half. In total the team developed 55 hours of CBT training. . I was asked to participate in the financial Post Implementation and the Add/Modify Service Authorization workgroups. I provided automated systems classroom training. Certified to teach MS Word, Excel, MS Mail, and PowerPoint.
