Oula Power is a cardio and strength combo class that begins with an empowering warm up, followed by high-energy cardio tracks to get the heart pumping! Next up is a series of body-weight only strength exercises, using moves from HIIT formats, Pilates, yoga and dance conditioning classes

Oula merges high-intensity cardio with easy-to-follow choreography, mindfulness practices, and a culture of inclusivity — all to an energetic pop soundtrack. Every Oula class empowers participants to challenge their bodies and process their emotions through music, movement, and, most importantly, a community connection.

During my time at the Lansing Community Library we have successfully increased our tax levy by 48%. We were awarded our absolute library charter and 501 c 3 status. My staff and I cataloged over 21,000 items and became a fully functioning member of the Finger Lakes Library System. We have increased summer reading participation by 80%, greatly expanded programming, and increased our weekly open hours from 21 to 42. I created a volunteer handbook and perform all volunteer training. I work closely with the Tompkins County Personal department on civil service positions and job postings. I have created a positive work environment, one of collaboration, support, and empowerment. I identify new funding sources and write all grants. I also oversee our endowment, which is held at the Community Foundation of Tompkins County. I work with our Friends of the Library group to develop fundraising goals and oversee fundraising initiatives. I use Donor Perfect software to track and grow our donor base.I work closely with Library Board of Trustees and staff to develop future programming, planning, building, and staffing goals. Draft and recommend policy to the Library Board of Directors. I also work with our state representatives, local municipality, PTA organization, the Lions Club, and area churches. I often give presentations to these organizations on our organization and future plans. Some of my proudest accomplishments at the library are securing our Absolute Library Charter, growing community support, greatly expanding library services, and the creation of our Endowment Fund.

As Head of Youth and Teen Services in Melrose Park I oversaw a staff of 2 full time employees, 4 part time employees, 4 youth works, and 5 volunteers. I oversaw a departmental budget of $109,000. With the help of full time staff I selected all materials for the busy youth and teen departments. I also I ran 3 story hours a week. I worked with staff to develop all programming, including school visits, cooking classes, exercise classes, and our Summer Reading programs. I also successfully wrote grants to fund a teen book club, teen advisory council, to increase Summer Reading, create bilingual storyhours, and to increase our collection. I assisted adult services with their Books At Home program. I also co-wrote grants with Adult Services department to secure funds for our Family Nutrition and Wellness lecture program and a bilingual resume building workshop. Two Ault/Youth Services Department collaborations I am particularly proud of are the Digitizing of Melrose Park Newspapers from World War 1 to present and the restoration of our WPA mural. In my positions at Melrose Park I wrote a biweekly column for the local newspaper on library services. I served a vice president of our System Youth Services Council. I worked closely with area schools and our municipality. I also visited area preschools and daycare centers to promote our library.

I worked part time as a Youth Services Assistant. I ran one weekly family story hour, a come and go craft, and Magic Tree House after school program. I created, and planned, all crafts for these programs. I assisted in selecting materials for our non-fiction and picture book collections. I also taught computer literacy classes to parents. I assisted with the Summer Reading program and planned all activities for birth-1st grade. I backed up Adult Reference Services on Saturdays.

I digitized and uploaded articles for the World Libraries magazine. I collaborated with other employees on best practices for digitization and we created a training handbook for future employees.

I created and implemented an archival system for the Sound Stage television show photographs and memorabilia.
