I am an experienced medical writer, editor and communicator, specialising in health sector communication projects. Thirty years working in the health sector in New Zealand has ensured I am extremely well networked, so you can reach those GPs, PHOs, hospitals, DHBs, NGOs, specialist health communities you need to.I was Professor Sir Peter Gluckman’s first communications officer at the Auckland School of Medicine – allowing me the privilege to work with and get to know other medical luminaries like Professor Sir Richard Faull – before I worked for eight-and-a-half years as deputy editor of NZ Doctor newspaper. I have also done a stint as a magazine sub editor, for Taste magazine, where I acquired a new taste of my own… for websites.I believe over 10 years working in the digital space sets me apart from other communications specialists. My company acts as a website, communications and content consultant for a number of health-related agencies. With an NZCS (paramedical), BSc in human physiology and Certificate in Journalism, I have a diverse range of interests spanning literature and the French language to the intricacies of human physiology, microbiology, infectious disease and nutrition.
