• Liaise with San Mateo agencies, non-profits, and prevalent individuals (San Mateo Resource Conservation District, San Francisco Public Utility Commission, GGNRA Pacifica Liaison Committee, Pacifica Beach Coalition, Peninsula Open Space Trust, Friends of Pedro Point, Native Plant Society, San Mateo Weed Management Area, environmental leaders, equestrian operators, local law enforcement, Pacifica planning department, and various researchers) to provide bidirectional communication with regard to events concerning GGNRA lands • Participate in San Mateo Leadership meetings with division chiefs to help inform decision makers of on-the-ground conditions• Coordinate data collection and interpretation (sign programming, trail head planning, sensitive habitat determination) of a new park site in San Mateo County• Document findings, observations, and methodologies by developing maps using existing and field-collected data through the ArcGIS suite• Participate in public engagement activities (public hikes, meetings, and workshops focusing on San Mateo and parkwide issues)• Provide biological monitoring support to projects park-wide to ensure the protection of sensitive habitat and/or species during site improvements• Monitor mission blue butterfly populations in the Southern Marin Headlands and produce seasonal reports documenting findings and analyzing trends• Provide butterfly-related outreach support and educational programs to Park staff, contractors, and the public• Assess and provide guidance on natural resource issues at Fort Baker (Marin County) and determine work plans for volunteer programs• Monitor California red-legged frogs breeding success and habitat usage in San Mateo County and coordinate data analysis and summary reports
