After finishing my first degree, qualifying as an Optometrist, working for various companies on a freelance (locum) basis and several years working in small boutique practices as well as concessions in department stores including Harrods and Selfridges I decided on a career change, returning to full time study in the field of art and design.During my time working in the eyecare industry I tested eyes, prescribed glasses and contact lenses, diagnosed eye diseases and worked in laser eye surgery clinics, becoming an accomplished salesperson and developing my diplomacy and people skills. My versatility meant being able to work in various environments including independent boutique stores in Camden and Knightsbridge, as well as for larger chains like Boots and Specsavers and concessions in department stores - Harrods and Selfridges.
