Consultancy assignments towards research, capacity building, design norm shifting and behavioural shifting models and measurement and knowledge management

As Head of Programmes, I am responsible for global programme performance and high quality delivery of programmes across all Countries of Restless Development in Asia, Africa and UK. My responsibilities include ensuring youth-led innovative programming, ensuring efficient ways of operations through establishing systems and producing high quality evidences of learning through evaluations and researches. I am also responsible for leading the regional office based out of New Delhi and support India country programme for regional growth and expansion in south asia.

The major tasks involved:► To monitor the effectiveness of the program efforts in light of the planned strategy and deployed resources► Team capacity building for implementation of projects and programs on ground effectively► To work closely with Resource Mobilization and Partnerships function to contribute to the processes► To estimate the optimal resources required to successfully undertake the planned interventions and prepare the documentation for the budgetary and other approvals for resources required► To establish and implement systems and processes for effective communication between Subject Matter experts, Documentation and Field Programmes ► Ensure timely reporting of information for the functional and financial MIS► Lead the process of formulating and implementing Apne Aap’s Research strategy ► Capacitate research team to undertake active research studies► To establish tie-ups with external bodies (such as universities etc) as Research partners to encourage study in the area of trafficking► Lead and undertake secondary research including study of laws and conventions protocols related to trafficking, best practices by other actors such as grassroots organizations, foundations, international organizations, key case laws, existing research papers on anti trafficking, journal articles, key media articles relating to anti trafficking etc► Lead the process of design of assessment protocols, questionnaires, and other M&E instruments► Lead the process towards compilation and preparation of annual work plans and project documents, and the review of project documents to ensure that M&E indicators are clearly and accurately incorporated► Assist in organizing workshops/seminars/training courses to enhance the capacity of partner NGOs/ CBOs etc in carrying out effective monitoring and evaluation► Desing and implement the Monitoring & Evaluation Framework (MEF) to assess project performance and make performance-based decisions

Job responsibilities:• Technical – project conceptualization and design research and intervention packages, tool development, capacity building, project monitoring and evaluation, synthesizing and analyzing data, writing reports, updates, papers, briefs, maintaining knowledge base, organizing national and state level high profile consultations and disseminations,• External relations – partner management, donor relations, government liaison, networking with peer organizations• Management – Project management, partner management, HR management (including coordinating with Washington DC based staff), managing budgets and rolling out systems for documentation and project monitoring

USAID supported Project RACHNA Planning and monitoring program implementation and budget at district level and then consolidating at state level Government liaison (DWCD, MoHFW) Partner Management – providing technical and managerial guidance  Capacity building of counterpart officials and NGO partners for above-mentioned interventions of community based change agents in an attempt towards BCC Incorporating Gender and Rights Based Approach in the activities. Advocacy with government officials at district and push it to state level through state teams Research – Need assessment studies and BCC formative research related to al field interventions. Regular monitoring and feedback.
