S&I (Sustainability & Internationalisation) is a multicultural political party in the Student Council at Wageningen University. We represent the interests of all students and participate in the decisions and policy making at WUR through the Student Council. S&I strives for sustainability on campus, an integrated WUR community, student and staff well-being and, of course, high quality education. As a branch between the university and students, we are ‘rooted in student life’.The Student Council (SC) formally represents the interests of all students at the highest policy making level in the university. The SC consists of twelve students representing three parties; “Verenigde Studenten” (VeSte), “Sustainability and Internationalisation” (S&I) and “Christian Student Fraction” (CSF). The Council is the bridge between the students and the university. Both the SC and the parties initiate different initiatives. The initiatives and the critical evaluations of the university’s policies are discussed with the Executive Board once every eight weeks in formal meetings. Besides this, the Student Council regularly speaks with key figures within the organisation in order to reach its goals and prepare for the meetings with the Executive Board.
