Sus Voeten is my name, nice to meet you!Transport, warehousing and logistics are my passion. I operate as warehouse manager at Verkooijen Veem NV, a specialist in Value Added Logistics in Hoogstraten. A perfect location, near the ports of Antwerp, Rotterdam and Moerdijk, close to the E19.My employer Verkooijen was founded in 1977, and provides logistics services in the market of plastic granules and regrind, rubber, paper and polymers. Our company is very successful in: - Transport & Warehousing and... - Upgrading activities: sieving, dedusting, demetallising and homogenising off-spec plastic granules, regrind and powders. We have been able to grow our company thanks to a variety of loyal clients: - Traders in plastic granules and regrind - Manufacturers of prime plastic granules - Manufacturers of plastic end products - Insurers and claims handlers who appraise transport damage to plastic granule and regrind lots. In Hoogstraten we dispose of 60.000 m2 of warehousing capacity, including conditioned storage, storage for ADR goods Class 9, dedicated storage for plastics recycling and regular storage, for any period suiting our clients. We dispose of a specialised transport department with a variety of own trucks and trailers and a proven network of subcontractors, enabling us to forward and deliver cargo all over Europe at attractive conditions and an amazing efficiency. Our lean operation, dedicated team of passionate logistics specialists and a very effective warehousing management system enables us an almost uniquely rapid and flexible way of working. Re. ugrading of plastic granules and regrind, we upgrade lots between 10 and 125 tonnes from off-spec to near-prime quality in an extremely short time, significantly increasing the value of the plastics of our customers. My role is, let's say, the oil in de gearbox, the company's ear for the customers, the teamplayer amongst the Verkooijen team. I have been working at Verkooijen since 1986.
