Corporate CTO, with a business strategy and corporate development focus. Recruited into a new, transformational role because of my background: the combination of technology, strategy, execution, startup experience, angel and venture capital investing background, product leadership, etc. Leveraging our position as the largest visual effects business in the world (parent company of MPC and The Mill), I led our entrance into virtual and augmented reality (now a key pillar of the business). Led AI efforts company-wide, ranging from research collaborations, internal development (one example: AI applied to augmenting visual effects artists), and external partnerships and joint venture creation. Also led internal strategy around blockchain: not another ICO, but an infrastructure layer for visual effects management, distribution and attribution.

Founded and led a design-focused digital health company, raising funding from Andreessen Horowitz and Greylock Partners. Built the team who delivered an app (The Eatery) that was selected a “best of” by Apple. We cemented our reputation as the first big-data consumer health company, with coverage by Time, Fast Company, TechCrunch, GigaOm and others.

Built a mobile game studio within a technology platform company. Based in San Francisco, and managed internal and external (India) engineering and art teams to produce a top selling iOS game (Puzzle Quest). Shipped the first serialized game with in-app purchase on iOS, increasing ARPU > 2x in 6 months. Worked with publishers, rights holders, and Apple for successful launch and promotion.
