Rachel Sutherland is a Senior Manager at Deloitte managing software alliance relationships within Finance, Accounting, Internal Controls, GRC and emerging areas around ESG technology. Rachel manages the day-to-day operations of multiple alliances by developing business plans, managing go-to-market strategy, and overseeing innovation, marketing, and enablement. She also manages an extended team of professionals who oversee alliances in related business areas. In recent years, Rachel has spent much of her time building and scaling alliance relationships, developing ecosystem teaming between multiple alliances, and developing new alliance relationships with emerging technologies. She has significant experience working in the US and Globally supporting cross-functional teams building alliance relationships. Prior to her role as an Alliance Manager, Rachel worked in Deloitte's Controllership practice supporting clients around digital finance and controllership transformation. During this time - Rachel developed and facilitated client workshops for Accounting/Finance teams, trained teams on emerging accounting technology trends, managed innovation strategy, and expanded the go-to-market reach of the practice through internal and external business development efforts. Rachel continues to drive many of her efforts through Deloitte's Center for Controllership and Controllership technology teams. Rachel previously managed the Deloitte Digital Controllership Spark Experience program which she delivered to over 30 client organizations over 2 years. Outside of her core responsibilities, Rachel serves as the co-leader of Deloitte's Philadelphia Impact Day - a national volunteer day where Deloitte professionals support the community. Rachel spends much of the year coordinating over 1000 local Deloitte volunteers to support 20+ projects with non-profit organizations in the Philly area. Rachel has a B.S. in Finance from Penn State with a minor in Entrepreneurship. Her interests in business and consulting grew at Penn State through a student club known as Students Consulting for Non-Profit Organizations (SCNO). During her time at Penn State, Rachel served as President of SCNO and enjoyed providing advice, training, mentorship, and expertise to non-profits. This experience has helped her grow within her career at Deloitte as she has focused on supporting her clients' entrepreneurial efforts in digitizing the accounting and finance organization.
