CorrelAid Netherlands is a non-profit organization that aims to connect data scientists with organizations that do good.Our core activity is to engage in 3-6 month-long projects where a team of our data scientists works pro bono with an organization, and we have currently completed 10+ projects successfully. We also organize events such as hackathons and meetups.● Managing a network of 250+ data scientists, a core team of 8 people doing day-to-day management, and an NPO engagement team of 8 people who scope projects with Non-Profits● Consulting, scoping and facilitating skilled volunteering projects to further the Social Good.

In partnership we Build Up we built Phoenix: a open-source, non-commercial, customisable, fully fledged social media analysis platform and process to support peacebuilders and mediators who want to work ethically with social media data to inform programming. https://gitlab.com/howtobuildup/phoenix/It is social media analysis made by and for peacebuilders.We have a live deployment of Phoenix with UNDP Lebanon since 2021 which informed much of the product features and functionality, and their usage of the platform is ongoing. We have completed multiple end-to-end social media listening projects powered by Phoenix with 15+ peacebuilding organisations across Yemen, Libya, Tunisia, Lebanon, Syria, Iraq, Occupied Palisitian Territories, and Jordan funded by the British Council - the results of these projects directly informed programming and initiatives by those organisations.Build Up is a global non-profit working beside local organizations to identify and address emergent challenges to peace through interventions, research and training that combine peacebuilding best practices, participatory methodologies and digital technologies. They are a leader in the field of digital peacebuilding, with extensive experience using social media listening and analysis to support peacebuilding programming. Over the past 6 years, they have developed methods and tools to analyse social media feeds in order to inform their own digital peacebuilding programming.Combining Build Up's deep domain knowledge and experience in peacebuilding with datavaluepeople's technical skills and experience in building value-centric data-driven systems, we aim to build fully open and valueble data-driven tools that aid all peacebuilders and contribute to decolonising data.

Created and productionized a recommendation system based on collaborative filtering, content based filtering and Elasticsearch. Written in Golang and Python Designed and implemented over 40 A/B tests, mostly on the recommendation system, of which the winners had a cumulative transactions uplift of over 20%
