As an Assistant Attorney General, my practice combined skills commonly associated with trial (discovery, witness examination, admission and objection to evidence) and those inherent in appellate work (research, briefing, oral arguments). The increasing amount of appeals requires carrying a docket of up to 30 cases at all stages of completion. As a summer law clerk I conducted legal research in areas including estate claims, invasion of privacy, ERISA, merger and acquisition law, non-compete and non-solicitation agreements, medical malpractice, personal injury, employment law, and bankruptcy.Utilizing that research, I drafted memoranda, client letters, motions and pleadings including complaints, answers, motions in support of and opposing summary judgment, and responses to document requests.
