When I was young, I figured my journey in life would lead me towards becoming a doctor. Although my life trajectory was initially on that path, it has now deviated into territories I never would've imagined myself being in, and I couldn't be happier.Leaving Medicine was a difficult choice to make, but what was even tougher was deciding where to take my life forward from there. Many doors were open and I needed to take the plunge. That's when I tapped into what my strengths were and decided to pursue an ACA qualification with ICAEW. Math had always been a favourite subject of mine (and yes, I know that math and accounting are very different, but I do love numbers and calculations), but more so than that, I loved the idea of business and management. These are the skills that I'm able to obtain throughout my ICAEW journey, and I always figured to use these attained skills in my work.This is where Rex Harbour International Logistics Sdn. Bhd. comes into play. A total logistics provider founded by my father a couple of years ago. My father and I now, together with a dedicated team of individuals run the daily operations of the company. As a team, we treat it as a superstructure in the making. International, or domestic transportation & logistics, we've got it covered for you.Being able to intertwine my ACA knowledge with the business has been a real motivating factor for me and pushes me towards building both the business, and my qualification. Managing daily operations whilst working towards an ACA qualification can certainly be a challenge, but it's one that I look forward to every day. New experiences, new lessons. Of course, all work and no play makes Jack a dull boy, so outside of my professional life, I occasionally enjoy a good book, hitting the gym, gaming (racing games mostly), and meeting up with family & friends.Building a meaningful network is one of the best things that we can do in today's world.
