Enables independent fault monitoring of traditional Pitot-tube based air data systems. Research was funded by Honeywell’s Grant for Innovation and Growth. Received the best paper award in Digital Avionics Systems Conference, Syracuse, NY, 2013. * Technical lead for business plan and product concept development to provide guidance, navigation and controls capability for tactical UAVs. Developed a product hierarchy to satisfy widely distributed size, weight, power and cost constraints. Performed technology feasibility study for camera-based navigation for both air and ground vehicles using real images. * Developed a multi sensor multiple target tracking algorithm for a high-fidelity simulation in Matlab/Simulink for UAV application. Enabled multi-year contract from NASA. Key challenge involved fusion of multiple sensors from cooperative and non-cooperative aircrafts.
