Junior Research Fellow role was an exploration phase in my journey to find the field that will interest me for my lifetime. And, I believe, this is it. In a year itself, I have been part of designing a Series Elastic Actuator for ISRO; publishing a research paper in IEEE Xplore relating to force production tasks in redundant manipulators(this was motivated by a problem I have seen in my previous job at HPCL); Designing an tendon driven anthropomorphic robotics hand with rigorous CAD iterations; learning about human-like controllers and trying to bring generalization in those. I have learnt a lot, skills that I gained in this year are fine-tuning my programing(3000+ lines code in MATLAB, python, ROS and OOP), simulation environments(Simulink, Gazebo, Isaac Sim), modelling softwares(Solidworks, Fusion360) and countless soft skills.I feel this exploration phase was highly successful as it gave me flavours of diverse projects within robotics, from low level to high level complexities of design and control.

Planning and Operations of entire LPG Bottling Plant. Planning:1. Product requirement forecast and coordinating for upliftment with Indian Railways and Manglore Import Facility(MLIF)2. Closely monitoring LPG cylinder requirements from Dealerships of 5 Districts from 2 states catering to more than 30 lakhs customers.3. Handled, verified and reconciled multi crore transactions on a daily basis; primarily using JDEdwards as ERP platform. 4. Managed a fleet of 150+ trucks, their daily and monthly trips, truck turnaround time and safety for efficient supply of cylinders. Operations: 1. Daily reconciliation of inventory at plant, which includes cylinders, valves, regulators and several other consumables.2. Verification of bulk and packed inventory in hand vs in books, gain-loss and variations booking if any. 3. Coordinating with contractors, transporters, Dealers and Vendors for timely execution of tasks assigned to them. 4. Gate passes, MRR, SPPI, BIR preparation using OIPMS, GEM, JDE etc as software platforms.

We established chapter of the internationally acclaimed Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) at IIT Gandhinagar. The club aimed to serve as a platform for highly motivated individuals to apply their engineering skills to real-life problems. We targeted to bridge the gap between industry and academia by collaborating with organizations that work in the fields of computation, designing and engineering.we participated in the virtual round of eBaja 2019 and made it through to the finals on our very first attempt.Dreaming to build and run a four-wheeler was the dream of our entire team. This particular experience taught us to work relentlessly, while finding out time from our regular class schedule. This experience moulded us in individuals who don't know when to stop. we all had a passion, fight till we make it right. Edited 2024: Unfortunately we weren't able to successfully run the vehicle in 2019 and then pandemic hit and disrupted the entire club's structure in our college. But I had this little hope that one day I will see this vehicle running, now when I got a chance to join back my alma mater as a research fellow, I was fortunate to motivate current students to continue the project and make the vehicle run. Currently the vehicle is up and running, with the same foundations we laid 5 years ago. Persistence and vision is what I learn and understood from this entire experience of mine.

At INVENT@IITGN, an Indian variant of INVENTION FACTORY by Cooper Union, worked and competed for 7 weeks to ultimately hold a patent for "Convertible Mobile Toilet" along with a group member. Day and night of unending progression in the design, with excessive criticism and feedback from fellow designers and professors helped in carving out the radical design for the western styled toilet. It's first of kind design is made to aid elderly and bedridden people and ease out the entire process of excretion by them, along with saving efforts of caretaker and water sustainability as an intrinsic feature.
