Reporting to the Dean of Student Development, the Administrative Assistant I position serves as the first point of contact in the student Psychological Services center. The position involves a high volume of contact with students, college personnel and the general public. Also includes heavy phone contact. The incumbent provides direct administrative and clerical support to the Psychological Services faculty and staff and is responsible for a wide variety of complex, higher level administrative functions and tasks that are to be handled with a high level of confidentiality. Demonstrates patience, tact and diplomacy in dealing with challenging situations and students in crisis.
