Over the last three years I have successfully transitioned from being a front-line worker to a more strategic thinker and Leader. Day to day responsibilities include project prioritisation, working with the TRM Executive team and Business Unit Directors to schedule competing projects against company values, strategy and roadmaps. Currently I manage a team of 10, consisting of Business Analysts and Project Managers and I also oversee the management for the outsourced software testing - all of which together plays a big part in delivery. During my time at TRM I have introduced and started processes based on a Software Development Life Cycle framework (SDLC) which has resulted in a more structured and successful work pipeline. I’ve also defined and established new and more efficient ways of working, for example improving relationships within the team by putting in communication governance and recording work in a more relevant way on our Azure DevOps boards. Communication is a key part of my role and due to having an approachable and logical nature I can adapt for any audience and help lead conversations towards more achievable goals. My biggest motivator is watching the company and/or team grow and evolve, to remove obstacles and act as the catalyst to solve problems encountered along the way, which let’s face it -> is just the nature of delivery.
