Executive Director
CurrentThe Executive Director is chiefly responsible for external relations including building solid relationships with allies, foundations, the media, elected officials and government staff. This position reports to the Board of Directors and is responsible for organizational leadership, management and planning, as well as fundraising, community relations and communications. The Executive Director is also responsible for overall operations and must have the ability to delegate internal duties. Job responsibilities include:- Organizational Leadership- Sustain a strong and consistent vision for Youth Advantage and guide the efforts of the Board and volunteers. Supervise the volunteers and provide some program support.- Organizational Planning- Develop and implement annual organizational plans, budget, and work plans that tie into a Strategic Plan. The Executive Director will jointly develop and/or update a new Strategic Plan with the Board annually.- Community Relations and Communications- Build strong relationships with a diverse group of community and business organizations, foundations, elected officials and government staff.- Fundraising- Oversee fundraising, planning and implementation, including identifying resource requirements, researching funding sources, establishing strategies to approach funders, and submitting proposals.- Organizational Management- Manage volunteers and fiscal resources through policies and oversight. Oversee financial and asset management and ensure compliance with contractual, grant and legal requirements.- Organizational Administration- Responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of Youth Advantage facility.- Board Administration- Support operations and administration of Board by advising and informing Board members, interfacing between Board and volunteers.
