I currently teach Spanish for the West Chester School District. At the Indian River School District, I worked as the ELL Instructional Coach with the Secondary Schools. I worked with ELL Coordinators in the two high schools and three middle schools. I monitored ELL Coordinators to ensure they were enrolling ELL students properly and are trained properly to administer the WIDA Screening Entry Language Exam and the yearly ACCESS Language Exam to ELLs. Additionally, I work with teachers at the secondary level to ensure they are modifying and accommodating their curriculum for our ELL's while still meeting the state standards for their content. Furthermore, I conducted and led Professional Development related to English Language Learners. I educated teachers on how to modify and accommodate lessons for English Learners. From July 2018 until August 2019, I worked as the ELL Coordinator at a Secondary School in the Indian River School District. I coordinated with the guidance departments to enroll new ELLs, recommend their courses and language levels to the guidance department, administer the entry screener exam, administer the yearly WIDA ACCESS language exam, and work with students to ensure they are on track to graduate. I collaborated with teachers to help modify and accommodate their lessons to meet the needs of the variety of language levels in their courses. Along with my main job duties, I participated in some additional academic business activities: I was part of a team to provide professional development to teachers within our school. We provided teachers with strategies on how to teach ELL's in their classroom. I developed the presentation and provide the demonstration to the teachers. I also coordinated with teachers and administrators to accommodate and modify students in their courses based on their language level. Previously, I taught a variety of levels of English Language Learners(beginner to advanced) at the high school level. I earned my Undergraduate Degree at West Chester University in Spanish Education. During my first two years of teaching, from 2011-2013, I earned my certification in ESL/ELL. From 2017-2019, I earned my Masters in School Leadership at Wilmington University. I hold a Pennsylvania Certification in Spanish Education and ESL. I hold my Delaware Certification in Spanish Education, ESL Education and Administration/School Leadership.
