Key Projects:• Engineering Lead for Inmarsat Leasing Program: Working with internal Product Management, Inmarsat, and third party vendors to design and implement changes to earth station infrastructure, mobile satellite terminals, and custom-designed web-based solutions. Project involved multi-million dollar capital expense and was required to maintain close to $100M in annual revenue. • Technical Advisory Role for Inmarsat BGAN Customer Interconnect Solutions: BGAN is a mobile satellite service based on 3G standards that uses lightweight terminals to provide simultaneous, high-speed IP data (up to 492 kbps) and voice connectivity anywhere in the world. Developing IP interconnect solutions (via ISDN, IPLC, ATM, and MPLS).Role/Responsibilities:• Responsible for the supervision and technical leadership of the Customer Solutions Engineering group. This included assigning, scheduling and reviewing engineering tasks for members of the group. Responsible for recruitment, hiring, and annual evaluation of full time staff and temporary positions.• Responsible for the design of integrated communications solutions for use in existing Stratos products and services and design of “one-off” customer specific solutions. • Served as a technical advisor in the evaluation of new business prospects.• Established and maintained effective relationships and communication channels with other divisions and business unit personnel in order to understand customer, product, and process problems and to facilitate the transfer of knowledge to other engineering and operations groups within Stratos. • Prepared, reviewed and approved detailed engineering documentation (cost estimates, budgets, schedules, drawings, proposals, specifications and technical reports). • Assisted with departmental budget and approve internal and project based expenditures within the assigned signing authority
