Suzanne M. Carter received her M.B.A. and Ph. D. in strategic management from the University of Texas at Austin. Currently on faculty at TCU’s Neeley School of Business as Professor of Professional Practice in Strategy within the Management and Leadership Department, she teaches and conducts research in the area of strategic leadership and corporate reputation. She serves as the Executive Director of TCU’s Executive MBA program. She has previously served on the faculty of the University of Notre Dame as an assistant professor and as an instructor at the McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas at Austin. Dr. Carter teaches strategy courses at the EMBA and undergraduate levels. She has consulted with several companies and non-profit organizations regarding strategic direction and reputation development and taught courses on strategy and innovative social enterprise strategies. She has also been involved in global study abroad courses in China, Europe, India, North Africa, the UAE, South Africa, Central America and South America. She has published numerous articles and book chapters in such business publications as the Academy of Management Journal, Journal of Management Studies, Journal of Leadership and Organizational Studies, Journal of Business Ethics and Corporate Reputation Review. She serves on the editorial board of Corporate Reputation Review, and is currently serving as Immediate Past President on the Texas Women in Higher Education board.
