I am a passionate attorney dedicated to helping those who have been harmed as the result of insurance bad faith misconduct. My practice at VandenBout Law, PLLC is primarily focused on helping clients recover benefits rightfully owed to them under their insurance policy for property damage losses caused by hail, wind, fire and water. Prior to joining VandenBout Law, PLLC, my practice focused on bad faith and third party claims in the personal injury realm. Over the years, I have represented hundreds of injured plaintiffs and have recovered millions of dollars for my clients, including a verdict in 2022 for an injured plaintiff in excess of 3.4 million.

Prior to joining Franklin D. Azar and Associates, I practiced in northern Mississippi where I opened and oversaw a satellite office for Nahon Saharovich & Trotz, PLLC, a large regional plaintiff law firm based out of Memphis, Tennessee. While at the firm, I dedicated several years to successfully representing hundreds of injured plaintiffs. While I have experience in premises liability and medical malpractice claims, my practice has historically focused on trucking and motor vehicle accidents. The transition to Colorado was precipitated by my interest in bad faith insurance litigation and Colorado law’s intolerance for insurance company misconduct involving unreasonable denial or delay in the payment of claims. I earned my B.S.B.A. in Marketing and Management from the University of Southern Mississippi. After graduation, I worked as a sales professional in the pharmaceutical industry for several years and thereafter, decided to pursue my law degree. While attending law school at the University of Mississippi (Ole Miss), I received the American Jurisprudence Award for academic excellence in Pre-Trial Practice and was chosen to serve as a member of the Dean’s Leadership Council. While a law student, I also participated in the Elder Law Clinic where I assisted elderly citizens in the community with estate planning matters. I am an active member of the Colorado Bar Association and am admitted to all state and federal courts in Colorado, as well as in Mississippi. My practice at FDA is focused on motor vehicle and trucking accidents. I have experience handling cases involving third party excess claims and bad faith claims against first party carriers.

I worked in personal injury, general practice and other civil litigation matters.

In May 2016, I opened NST's office in Tupelo, Mississippi, where I handled hundreds of cases for clients across North Mississippi. While at NST, my practice primarily focused on handling cases involving auto accidents, trucking accidents, premises liability and a variety of other torts.

I worked as an insurance defense attorney primarily focusing on workers' compensation and medical malpractice litigation.

I began my practice as a solo practitioner focusing primarily on estate planning. Responsibilities included drafting power of attorney documents, advanced healthcare directives, wills, revocable living trusts and representing clients in probate matters. Additionally, I also advised clients on Medicaid long-term care planning strategies and assisted in the formation of charitable foundations.

I was responsible for researching and drafting legal memoranda, evaluating potential causes of action, preparing court documents, drafting interrogatories, developing damage summaries, maintaining correspondence and interviewing clients.

I was responsible for promoting Actonel, Allegra-D, Nasacort AQ, Avapro/Avalide, Ambien CR, and Lantus Solostar to physicians including obgyns, rheumatologists, neurologists, psychiatrists, ENTs, internists, endocrinologists, primary care physicians and nurse practitioners.Recognitions and Success:2010-Promoted to "Senior Sales Representative" for success achieved in 2008 and 2009, which included a 7% raise.-Promoted to a newly created position selling Lantus and Avapro/Avalide which covered the entire sales district including Jackson, Hattiesburg and Mobile while focusing only on the highest volume prescribers in the district. 2009-Promoted by regional management to the "Impact Representative" leadership position for the district.-Ranked 2/9 in 2009 YTD amongst other "Impact Representatives" in the region-Chosen by management to serve as the "Actonel Champion" for the district, updating the team on new disease state information, label changes and competitive intel. -Received an "Above Expectations" rating for the year in a competitive forced rating system for 2009. 2008-After a transfer to a new territory, rankings upon my entry in the geography were Actonel 24/29 and Allegra-D: 20/29-After working the territory, the rankings for the second half of the year were: Actonel 150mg.: 1/29 and Allegra-D 1/29, leaving the territory with an overall 2008 YTD ranking of 9/29 regionally. -After the launch of Actonel 150mg, my territory ranked 12/514 territories in the entire country for post- launch sales volume. 2007-Upon entry into the territory in March 2007, regional rankings for the territory were 25/29. After only 1 quarter of working the territory, ratings improved to 2/29.-For 2007, quarterly ratings were Q1: 25/29, Q2: 2/29 Q3: 6/29 Q4: 12/29.-Ranked 10/28 YTD amongst all representatives in the region.

I was responsible for maintaining and growing sales volume and market share for Lipitor, Caduet and Zmax with internists, cardiologists, endocrinologists, nephrologists, primary care physicians and nurse practitioners in my territory.Recognitions and Success:-Increased Lipitor market share goal attainment from 93.3% (upon entering the territory) to 102.91% in September 2006.-Finished 2006 with the highest market share goal attainment in the entire region with Lipitor-Sold Second highest Caduet sales volume in the Jackson North district.

Sold five year contracts for floor mat, towel, apron, air freshener and paper services to local businesses while managing territory and cold calling diverse clients with various educational backgrounds, business needs and personality types.Recognitions and Success-Selected as "Rookie of the Quarter" by management for being the top sales representative.-Within 1 year, sales revenue in my territory doubled as compared to when I joined the company. -Independently managed and monitored large territory, receiving bonus every quarter for delivering sales results of approximately $1 million in 5 year contracts in my first sales year.
