I am a multi-disciplinary Environmental Scientist with over fifteen years’ experience. I've worked as a consultant and project manager within the UK and internationally and currently with a private waste company. Throughout my career, I have focused on environmental management and regulation and atmospheric science. I offer expertise in the waste industry, permitting and licensing of sites, waste exemptions, site investigation and sampling, atmospheric dispersion modelling, specialising in GasSim assessments for Environmental Impact Assessment. I have also travelled and worked overseas in a number of locations including Europe and Africa. I have experience of overcoming the logistical and technical challenges posed by international project work. I have extensive experience of the Environmental Permitting regime and Environmental Management, including preparation of permit applications, compliance works and permit surrender applications along with managing Site Investigations. I have worked on numerous contaminated land investigations, due diligence works and hydrogeological investigations. My project management role has involved writing proposals, costing site works, close client liaison and regular communication with operators, regulators and local authorities. Over the years I have built a strong relationship with the regulator, local waste operators and manufacturing clients.I also have working knowledge of ISO14001, ISO9001 and ISO14001. I have completed environmental audits and provided training/mentoring to graduate members of staff and the NIEA.
