Quickflange is a product within ICR Integrity that specialise in a UNIQUE, patented system of pipe-to-flange connection, which requires no welding or hot work. With a history of successful use onshore and offshore within a customer base of major Oil and Gas Operators, Quickflange is well established as a leading technology around the world for safe operations, cost-efficiency, rapid response and speed of installation. Quickflange technology is based upon a modified standard flange, activated by a specialist hydraulic tool, used in all sorts of on-site pipe work repair, modification, maintenance and construction. Permanently replacing a welded joint, Quickflange removes the need for shutdown, welding habitat or more extensive isolations, in order that everyday pipe connection tasks can be completed in a fraction of the time taken to weld, and with far fewer dedicated resources. Customer personnel can be trained to use the system and thus maximise its convenience and efficiency. Standard products currently extend from 3/4" to 14" , in pressure ratings up to 900#, and all common pipe materials, including carbon steel, stainless steel, duplex, super-duplex, and CuNi (Cunifer). The Quickflanges are a sale item, supplied to site ready for immediate installation on the specified pipe, using the Quickflange activation tools, which are available on long and short-term rental basis. I joined Walker Technical Resources Ltd (an ICR company) in 2010 as Key Account Manager. In my first 18months my time was spent managing accounts including BP, Shell, Marathon, and Perenco, while working alongside Professor Simon Frost to increase my working knowledge of composite repair technology and the ISO24817 standard.
