Accounting and Business consulting. I worked with small businesses that did not need or could not afford a full time accountant. I helped clients manage their cash, bill pay, assisted with bookkeeping, compiled financial statements and general consulting.

I prepared financial statements and reports for the corporation. I also served as corporate Secretary and presented the financial statements to the Board of Directors. I prepared financial projections, which were presented to lenders and prospective investors. I kept the corporate records book, and worked with the attorney to keep the stock register up to date. When appropriate, I prepared and filed various tax returns.

KarlNet was a small technology company that specialized in proprietary software for small wireless devices in the 802.11b realm. Because I have a background strong in Accounting and Information Technology, I was their choice for Operations. We grew the company from 8 people when I started to 30 people within a year. I had full charge of the accounting, and prepared monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial reports for the owners and the management team. I established internal procedures. I worked with our outside auditors as needed, and during the time I was there we had clean audits with positive audit opinions.KarlNet was sold to a public company in May of 2004 and my position was eliminated in July 2004. I assisted prior to the transaction (due dilligence) and in the transition following the acquisition.

IT Engineer: I was responsible for 50 end users within the company on a Novell network. The company used Microsoft Exchange server, so I also maintained this. Most end users were using accounting software that had to be individually installed and upgraded (thin server and thick client). I was also responsible for end users in our technology-consulting branch that needed a larger variety of applications installed and maintainedConsultant: I installed accounting software systems (server & client) on clients' computer networks and trained users (client employees). I taught classes in a classroom in our downtown office as well as classroom training offsite. Consultant: Because of the needs of come clients in vertical markets, I installed financial statement reporting software for clients to allow them to develop nontraditional reports (for example: Job Costing).
