Moved back into healthcare 7 months ago. Prior to this worked just over 2 years as a legal secretary supporting partners in construction litigation and then family law. Had been interested in law since my very first job with the District and Family Courts. Previous to this I spent 1 year with National Emergency Management Agency working as an EA and before that for a Primary Health Organisation project administering within their mental health team and commenced distance study with Massey University toward the certificate in Mental Health and Addiction. I also spent just over three years as an EA supporting the CE and Society Council at Royal Society Te Aparangi and was Office Manager for Infometrics project managing finding new office premises to re-locate and set up.Prior to having my family, I started working life with the Justice Department as a staff typist, then moved to Melbourne for two years and worked for Marquand & Co., Chartered Accountants in a secretarial role. This was followed by a two year OE of England and Europe working for various organisations before settling back down in Wellington as a PA to the Assistant General Manager of Sun Alliance Insurance. While my children were young and beyond I worked as a receptionist at the Wellington Accident and Urgent Medical Centre. I studied and attained a Diploma in Information and Library Studies and worked as a Public Librarian for 6 years once my youngest children (twins) started school, but missed the buzz of working in an office environment so chose to return.
