There is nothing more powerful to me than hearing someones true life story. It is always rather wonderful to walk alongside them as I listen to their joys, challenges, fears and hopes. There are some amazing stories to be told and my passion is helping others to write their own stories. I give a talk called 'From humble beginnings to published author,' to help inspire others like me with a story to tell. When I was five years old I heard the words 'she's one of those from the orphanage, another one that won't amount to anything.' Sadly I believed it and was 54 years old before I began writing with little believe in myself. With no experience whatsoever I ended up a published author with Penguin Random House. Alongside my writing I have classes to encourage, support and motivate all those people who have a passion to write and don't know where to start. Maybe one day, I tell them, I will be reading your story. I am now working on my fourth book and wonder how I ever managed to get through a day without the joy of writing.

  In 2013 my first book was published by Penguin Random House and my second in November 2016. My third book in the Ragdoll series is due to be published in November 2017. I also write fiction, creative non-fiction and biographies and enjoy blogging. I am currently working on my first children's book and thoroughly enjoying the adventures they are taking me on.
