I have been with the Alabama Dept. of Public Health since Sept. 2000. During my time here I have served as a social worker / case manager, and in 2008 went back to school for my Masters in Social Work and was promoted to Social Work Manager. I was then promoted to Social Work Director for Public Health Area IX. During my time as a social worker I was able to work with clinic and home care services; As well as, responding to emergency situations, and gain knowledge in that area. I was able to respond to Hurricane Ivan, Hurricane Katrina, the tornadoes that hit in Enterprise and Tuscaloosa, AL, and to respond in Kentucky during their ice storm. April of 2018, I was then promoted to Assistant Administrator where I work in the Southwestern District which covers 10 of the counties in SW Alabama (Baldwin, Choctaw, Clarke, Conecuh, Dallas, Escambia, Marengo, Monroe, Washington, and Wilcox).
