While working in the capacity of Director of the Office of Compliance, Ethics, and Investigation I provided superior organizational holistic oversight experience to create best practices for our compliance and investigations office. Under my leadership we added several areas to monitor and provided much needed oversight including; legislative implementation, policy development, risk mitigation, and investigations for fraud waste abuse, and equal employment. For creating this office, I was awarded the TxDOT Journey Toward Excellence Award, and the Western Association of State Highways and Transportation Officials Excellence Award. I have spoken at national and local conferences, and was interviewed by The Wall Street Journal about creating the office. Prior to TxDOT, I practiced real estate law at Armbrust and Brown in Austin. I have experience speaking at national conferences, and was interviewed for The Wall Street Journal. I am always eager to benchmark current practices to seek improvement and discover new efficiencies.I have recently retired from TxDOT, and after a short break, I am now pursuing another position.
