Small animal exclusive; I provide care and education for preventative care visits, stabilize and provide care for emergency cases, perform surgeries (including but not limited to: OHEs, neuters, dentals, mass removals foreign body removals, ocular surgeries, amputations, splenectomies), and provide medical care (including but not limited to interpreting blood glucose curves, fine needle aspirate/cytologies, blood smears, interpreting lab work and radiographs).

This role includes:-Oversight and direction of medical standards and quality of care-Establishment of medical protocols-Monitoring DVM performance-Performing medical record reviews to address client medical complaints; appropriately communicate with the client alleviating concern and positively representing the hospital and staff-Training and mentoring all newly hired veterinarians in medical aspects of the practice

Provide educational outreach by giving presentations to K-12 students, holding teacher workshops, creating lesson plans for educators and veterinary professionals, participating in video conferences, and creating educational videos. The purpose of this program is to promote public awareness and student interest in science and veterinary medicine.
