Suzanne began her career in the insurance industry as a data entry clerk for an insurance company in Vancouver in 1991. After a short stint, she returned to Calgary, Alberta and quickly obtained her level I General Insurance license transferring over the broker side of the industry. After a few years, Suzanne did what many young people do and took some time off from and headed over to Europe, returning in late 1993. By 1994 Suzanne relocated back to the Lower Mainland continuing her career in the industry. She's had the opportunity to work at Aon Reed Stenhouse & Underwriters Insurance Agencies as a Customer Service Representative. Never one to shy away from growth and opportunity, Suzanne showed a keen interest in leadership & propelled herself in to the role of Personal Lines Manager at CMW Insurance. Jump ahead a few years, and BFL Canada came knocking on her door. Suzanne was given the chance to be part of a successful national broker & joined their ranks as Personal Lines Manager. Most of Suzanne’s career was spent on the personal lines side, so when Pemberton Insurance approached her to become a producer & handle commercial insurance accounts, she jumped at the opportunity. During her tenure at Pemberton, Suzanne wrote more complex commercial accounts as well as high net worth client portfolios, rounding off her insurance experience. Most recently, Suzanne joined Central Agencies Ltd. in 2016 as Branch Manager for their Richmond location and is a part of their management team. She continues to be a producer & handles her own exclusive book of clients. Suzanne worked hard in furthering her education and knowledge of the insurance world by obtaining 2 industry designations. In 1999, she gained her CAIB designation (Canadian Accredited Insurance Broker) and in 2009 she completed her CIP Designation (Chartered Insurance Professional). She believes in education and staying current with industry trends as well as growing her management skills, by frequenting seminars, and other industry related courses.Outside of work, Suzanne actively volunteers for organizations such as Arthritis Society of Canada and the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundations (JDRF). She is an active member of the JDRF leadership committee & has held the position of Family Chair for three separate Walk events, raising over $400,000 per Walk. Over the past 12 years, Suzanne has personally raised over $40,000 for the JDRF and continues to advocate for the awareness for Type 1 Diabetes. Suzanne’s biggest accomplishments are her two children Gaby and Lucas.
