Suzanne Marques co-anchors CBS2 This Morning, weekdays at 4:30am-7am and 11am.Suzanne got an early start in journalism. She was editor of her 5th grade newspaper, at Rio San Gabriel in Downey. She hosted Downey High School’s assemblies and pep rallies, and won the speech portion of the Miss Downey pageant.Suzanne graduated from the University of Southern California, and started blogging while attending USC. It would lead to a job upon graduation. She was hired as web producer at KNBC, then moved to Eureka to become weekend anchor and reporter at KIEM.Suzanne's next job was at KGET in Bakersfield, her first time working on a morning show, and she loved it. Then she moved across the country, to WXIA in Atlanta, where she earned an Emmy for reporting, Her mother is from the Arkansas, so she loved being near family, and soaking in the Southern hospitality.When Suzanne returned to Los Angeles, she covered hard news and and entertainment for KTTV, and fill-in anchored for Good Day LA. She joined KCBS in 2011 as entertainment reporter, and moved back to news anchoring in 2018.When Suzanne isn’t checking her phone for the latest news updates, she loves spending time at home with her husband, Robert and son, Austin, who is named after one of her favorite cities and uncles.She enjoys cooking, traveling, reading, and spending hours daily on social media. When she gets time to herself, Suzanne is usually writing, or snacking on sweets she’s hidden from Austin.
