I am PwC’s Head of Real Estate, Legal. Having had excellent experience as a real estate lawyer in private practice, particularly in the fields of distressed asset sales and purchases, asset management, and real estate investment my mandate is to grow PwC’s real estate legal offering, exploring new work streams and working with both existing and new clients. I have, during my career, worked for administrators and receivers, banks, developers, pension funds and private equity funds to assist with a range of properties and property issues. I have a demonstrated history of:• asset management work (negotiating leases, licences and ancillary documents in offices, mixed use schemes, industrial estates and out of town shopping centres), • development work (buying development land for residential, mixed use and commercial schemes, financing and re-financing, dealing with options to purchase, forward sales, project management work and a whole range of transactions both within the City and throughout England and Wales)• asset financing,• telecoms infrastructure due diligence and advice regarding the roll-out of 5G networks,•high worth freehold and leasehold asset sales and purchases (both commercial and residential) with complex finance structuring and novel title issues, • structuring new build sites including setting up management companies, enfranchising or complying with the L&T Act 1987,• distressed asset sales including commercial advice on sale strategy, sales at auction or by private treaty, and solving a range of title, management and structuring issues to obtain best value, and• ground rent investment portfolio acquisitions for pension funds and long-term property investors. I have been involved in a range of properties, from land-locked development sites, industrial estates, and shopping centres to multi let mixed use buildings.
